Pfizer HRRm Testing Quality Improvement Grants 2025 supports practice-based quality improvement (QI) initiatives that address barriers within the Homologous Recombination Repair mutation (HRRm) testing pathway for patients with metastatic prostate cancer. The program aims to implement, evaluate, and scale system-level solutions that improve the delivery, coordination, and utilization of HRRm testing across both academic and community healthcare settings. Priority will be given to projects that establish efficient, reliable, and standardized testing processes, reduce administrative and operational burdens on clinicians, and expand patient access to timely testing. Eligible activities may include improving sample quality and collection practices, developing multidisciplinary care coordination models, piloting reflex testing approaches, and applying implementation science or technology-enabled workflow optimization strategies. Projects should demonstrate measurable improvements in HRRm testing performance, care coordination, continuity of care, or result utilization. Grant requests of up to USD 100,000 are available, with a total funding pool of approximately USD 200,000. Projects may be implemented for a maximum duration of 18 months, and the award may cover both direct costs and institutional overhead expenses, with overhead capped at 28%.

Applications are accepted from organizations only, including medical, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health professional schools; healthcare institutions; professional organizations and medical societies; medical education companies; and other entities whose mission supports healthcare professional education or healthcare improvement. Individual applicants and unaffiliated medical practice groups are not eligible to receive funding. Applicants must be able to receive grant funding directly from Pfizer Inc. Proposals must be structured as formal quality improvement initiatives and should clearly demonstrate the potential for measurable impact, scalability, and applicability across both academic and community practice environments. Evaluation will consider the relevance of the proposed intervention to identified HRRm testing barriers, the strength of the implementation strategy, the potential for sustainable system-level improvement, and the ability to generate meaningful outcomes related to testing access, utilization, and care coordination.
