من نحن

The Internet Freedom Fund (IFF), the flagship grantmaking program of the Open Technology Fund (OTF), supports innovative projects that advance internet freedom and help counter censorship and surveillance in restrictive environments worldwide. The program funds initiatives that strengthen digital security, expand access to open and secure online communications, and empower communities affected by online repression. Supported activities include the development and improvement of open-source circumvention technologies, enhancement of the security and usability of existing internet freedom tools, content redistribution solutions designed to bypass government firewalls, applied research, digital security initiatives, and community events or convenings that contribute to the broader internet freedom ecosystem. Grants range from USD 10,000 to USD 900,000 for projects lasting up to 24 months, with funding typically best suited for projects requesting USD 50,000 to USD 200,000 over 6 to 12 months. Funding is provided through performance-based contracts tied to the completion of agreed objectives and deliverables. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through a two-stage process consisting of a Concept Note followed by a full Proposal for shortlisted applicants.
