Call for Proposals: Environmental Awareness and Community Engagement Campaign for VWCCs (Moldova)
من نحن
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is launching a funding opportunity to implement an inclusive environmental education and communication campaign in Ungheni and Călărași. The program aims to strengthen public awareness, community participation, and the responsible use of Waste and Valuable Collection Centres (VWCCs). Grant funding will support eligible activities such as public awareness campaigns, community dialogues, stakeholder coordination, media engagement, and educational outreach focused on waste prevention, separate collection, reuse, recycling, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). The initiative targets residents of Ungheni and Călărași—particularly households near construction sites and surrounding communities—alongside specific groups such as youth, women, educators, civil-society organizations, local public authorities, waste-management operators, and regional media. The expected grant duration runs from December 2026 through September 2027, with the overarching goal of delivering accessible construction progress updates, addressing community concerns, and providing UNDP and local partners with approved communication materials, outreach evidence, and a reusable community outreach package.
