The UEFA Foundation for Children issues an annual call for projects designed to advance its mission of supporting children through sport and related development initiatives. The 2026 call seeks proposals that promote health, education, access to sport, personal development, integration of minorities, and the protection of children’s rights. Projects may involve football or other sports and can be implemented directly by the Foundation or in partnership with external organizations. In addition to development aid, the Foundation may provide humanitarian or emergency assistance independently or in collaboration with partners. All submitted projects will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees, which may consult external experts before making funding decisions at its annual meeting. In urgent cases, exceptional decision-making mechanisms may be applied to ensure timely support.

Eligible applicants include organizations and institutions whose missions align with the Foundation’s objectives of improving children’s lives through sport and development aid. Proposals must demonstrate clear relevance to the priority areas of health, education, access to sport, personal development, minority integration, and child rights protection. Applicants should have the capacity to implement projects effectively, either independently or in partnership, and must be able to document their ability to deliver sustainable impact. The Board of Trustees will evaluate applications based on alignment with the Foundation’s goals, feasibility, and potential to achieve meaningful outcomes for children.
