The Culture Helps Solidarity Project Grants support arts and culture professionals from Ukraine and Creative Europe countries in developing initiatives of memory and commemoration related to the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine. This multi‑year program, co‑funded by Creative Europe and implemented by the European Cultural Foundation in partnership with Insha Osvita, zusa, and the VETERANKA Movement, aims to sustain creativity, resilience, and community connection during and after the war.

The second call focuses on projects that responsibly engage with the lived experiences of affected communities, including women veterans, servicewomen, families of the fallen, displaced populations, and witnesses of wartime events. Supported projects may take artistic, educational, research‑based, or participatory formats, creating meaningful remembrance, documentation, public reflection, and commemoration while adhering to trauma‑informed principles and safeguarding dignity, safety, and agency.

Each project may receive up to €7,000, with at least 15 projects funded in this round and a total of at least 60 grants awarded across four thematic calls. The maximum project duration is six months, and activities must not begin before 1 February 2027.

معايير القبول

Eligible applicants include civic, public, or private organisations based in Ukraine or any Creative Europe country that operate in the cultural, creative, or civil sector. Individual applicants with strong project ideas are encouraged to apply in partnership with an eligible organisation serving as their legal entity. Applications will be assessed on organisational capacity, relevance of experience, and alignment with the program’s objectives.
