The zivik Funding Programme (ZFP) provides financial and technical support to civil society organisations worldwide working to prevent crises, overcome conflicts, and strengthen peaceful social and political systems. The programme offers funding, advisory services, networking opportunities, and assistance with project evaluation to enhance the impact of peacebuilding initiatives.

Funding priorities include crisis prevention, conflict management, stabilisation, democracy-building, and peacebuilding, with a strong emphasis on the five pillars of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security: youth participation in decision-making, protection from violence, conflict prevention through education and integration, partnerships with youth organisations, and reintegration support for young people returning from armed groups or conflict situations.

Projects may operate in crisis and conflict-affected regions, with priority given to Sub-Saharan Africa, Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA), Southeastern Europe, Ukraine, Belarus, the South Caucasus, and initiatives led by the Unidas Women’s Network in Latin America and the Caribbean. In exceptional cases, projects from other regions may also be considered.

The programme provides grants of up to €400,000 per project. Funding is intended for initiatives that complement state efforts, bring local perspectives, and strengthen community resilience.

Applications are open to state-registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs), local organisations, and projects that build local capacities in crisis prevention, stabilisation, and peacebuilding within the eligible regions. Proposals will be evaluated based on organisational capacity, relevance to programme priorities, alignment with UNSCR 2250 pillars, and demonstrated ability to implement and assess impact effectively.
