Cities Deliver: AI Solutions for Public Services
من نحن
The Cities Deliver: AI Solutions for Public Services is a global funding initiative managed by RF Catalytic Capital that supports organizations working in partnership with city governments to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to improve public services for underserved and vulnerable communities. The program aims to expand equitable access to high-quality public services and generate measurable benefits for city residents worldwide, with a collective goal of reaching up to 100 million people. Projects must leverage AI to enhance access to or improve the quality of services in one or more of the following areas: public health, economic mobility, environmental resilience, and civic engagement. Activities related to voting or elections are not eligible. Applicants may apply under the Seed Track, designed for early-stage concepts preparing for a first city pilot, or the Scale Track, intended for solutions that have already been piloted and demonstrated initial results. Supported activities may include solution design, prototype development, testing, piloting, implementation, expansion within an existing city, or replication in additional cities. Grants range from USD 500,000 to USD 2 million for projects of up to 24 months, with funding complemented by peer-learning opportunities, mentorship, evaluation support, webinars, and limited technical assistance in AI product development and engineering, subject to availability.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, university-based laboratories, fiscally sponsored organizations, and public benefit corporations. For-profit entities may be considered only in limited circumstances where the proposed project serves a charitable purpose and provides no more than an incidental benefit to the company's commercial activities. Applicants must demonstrate an active partnership with a city government committed to collaborating on the project. Proposed initiatives must primarily benefit underserved, poor, distressed, or otherwise disadvantaged communities, or advance social welfare objectives. Government entities are not eligible to apply directly. Current grantees of both The Rockefeller Foundation and RF Catalytic Capital may apply. Applications will be assessed based on the strength of the proposed AI solution, the viability of implementation with city partners, the potential to improve public services for underserved populations, evidence of readiness for the selected funding track, and the anticipated scale and impact of outcomes.
