من نحن

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), through its Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) Research Commissioning Centre (RCC), is inviting proposals to deliver a comprehensive programme synthesis for the Strategic Partnership on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition. The assignment will consolidate academic findings from 41 funded grants, conduct bibliometric and portfolio analyses, and assess wider policy outcomes through grantee reporting, surveys, interviews, and case studies. The synthesis will highlight contributions to increasing consumption of nutrient-dense foods, building consumer demand, improving affordability, strengthening local markets, enhancing food safety, reducing foodborne disease, improving surveillance, and scaling nutrition-sensitive agriculture and value-chain interventions. It will also address four core research questions on academic contributions, peer-reviewed outputs, evidence base expansion, and policy influence.

The programme is designed as a learning exercise rather than a formal impact evaluation, with an estimated budget of £85,000. Applicants are expected to engage closely with the research community and produce well-evidenced accounts of programme contributions and impact. Eligible activities include synthesis of research outputs, development of case studies, and analysis of policy contributions. The project is global in scope, with particular relevance to countries where the programme has been implemented, and aims to strengthen the evidence base for nutritious food systems and agriculture-for-nutrition policy.

معايير القبول

The call is open to legally registered organisations worldwide with the capacity to deliver high-quality research. Applications may be submitted by individual organisations or consortia, but individuals are not eligible. Partnerships and consortia are strongly encouraged, particularly those involving institutions and researchers from low- and middle-income countries, organisations based in programme implementation regions, and collaborations that provide meaningful leadership roles for local partners. Consortia must demonstrate clear and complementary roles between the lead organisation and downstream partners, and all conflicts of interest must be declared at the application stage.
