Call for Proposals: Addressing Violence Against Women and Girls
من نحن
UN Women, under the EU‑funded EU4 Gender Equality – Women’s Economic Empowerment and Ending Violence Against Women in the Western Balkans initiative, invites civil society organizations to design and implement innovative pilot interventions addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG), with a particular focus on technology‑facilitated violence (TF VAWG). The programme seeks survivor‑centred, evidence‑based approaches that strengthen knowledge, capacities, and access to tools and support mechanisms for women and girls. Activities should enable recognition, prevention, documentation, reporting, and response to online violence and gender‑based discrimination, while generating practical knowledge, tools, and lessons learned for scalable solutions.
Selected organizations will act as Responsible Parties, piloting creative and contextually relevant interventions that respond to evolving forms of violence in digital spaces. The initiative emphasizes practical, real‑world testing of solutions that place survivors at the centre, while contributing to regional capacity‑building and informing future programming and policy development. Funding is available between USD 145,000 and USD 150,000, with proposals outside this range not considered.
معايير القبول
Applications are open to civil society organizations operating in the Western Balkans, including women‑led groups, youth organizations, and technology‑oriented entities. Eligible applicants must demonstrate capacity to design, test, and implement innovative pilot interventions that address both prevention and response to violence against women and girls, particularly in digital contexts. Proposals will be evaluated on their survivor‑centred approach, contextual relevance, innovation, and potential to generate evidence‑based practices that can inform broader regional programming.
