Apply now for Lisle Global Seed Grants for Intercultural Projects
من نحن
The Lisle Global Seed Grants provide up to USD 5,000 in funding to support innovative intercultural initiatives that foster dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning among diverse communities worldwide. Designed as early-stage “seed” support, the program prioritizes projects that place intercultural engagement at the core of their activities, encouraging communication, conflict resolution, and community building through creative and collaborative approaches. Grants are intended for innovative projects that strengthen intercultural understanding, address social challenges, and create opportunities for meaningful interaction across cultural boundaries.
Funding is available for projects implemented within the calendar year of award. Lisle particularly encourages applications from small and emerging organizations seeking support for new initiatives with growth potential. Successful projects are typically community-focused, collaborative, and designed to bring people together while promoting intercultural exchange. The program does not fund infrastructure development, hardware purchases, travel costs for U.S. participants in international programs, salaries for U.S. volunteers, or activities involving religious education or proselytizing.
Applicants invited to submit a full proposal will receive guidance from a Lisle Grant Mentor, who provides feedback, ensures alignment with Lisle’s mission, and serves as the primary point of contact throughout the application process.
معايير القبول
Eligible applicants include organizations and individuals affiliated with organizations capable of implementing intercultural projects. Preference is given to organizations over individual applicants, with a strong emphasis on small and emerging groups. Applications must clearly demonstrate intentional promotion of communication, learning, and interaction among people from different cultural backgrounds.
The application process follows two phases: submission of a Request to Apply (RTA) through the grant portal, followed by an invitation to submit a full proposal for selected applicants. Proposals are evaluated based on alignment with Lisle’s mission, innovation, community focus, and potential for impact. Applicants are encouraged to present proposals authentically, drawing on lived experiences and community knowledge, while maintaining clarity and professionalism.
