Request for Applications: Individual Organisation Grants
من نحن
The Commonwealth Foundation is inviting applications from not-for-profit civil society and creative organisations in eligible Commonwealth member countries for its Individual Organisation Grants (IOG) 2026. The programme supports standalone projects that promote freedom of expression, economic inclusion, and climate and environmental justice, in line with the Foundation’s 2026–2031 strategic priorities and the values of the Commonwealth Charter. Proposed initiatives should contribute to positive social, cultural, or political change by engaging governments and other decision-makers, influencing public discourse, or encouraging behavioural and policy changes through creative practice. The Foundation encourages the integration of gender, intersectionality, and youth perspectives across project design and implementation. Grants range from £15,000 to £30,000 per year for projects of up to two years’ duration. Projects must be implemented within the applicant organisation’s country of registration, while multi-country initiatives may be considered where strong local participation is demonstrated in each participating country. Partnerships are permitted, and eligible activities may include advocacy, public engagement, creative and cultural initiatives, policy influence, and other actions that advance the programme’s thematic priorities.
معايير القبول
Applicants must be registered not-for-profit civil society organisations or creative organisations located in an eligible Commonwealth member country. The lead applicant must have a minimum of three years of relevant organisational experience, an average annual income of less than £2.5 million, and may not request funding exceeding 70% of its average annual income over the previous two years. Where partnerships are proposed, only the lead organisation is required to meet the core eligibility requirements. Applications must include all required supporting documentation, including a logic model, registration certificate, governance information, and financial accounts. Creative organisations must also provide a portfolio of relevant work, while organisations requesting grants above £15,000 per year must submit audited financial statements. During assessment, consideration will be given to the project’s potential for meaningful change, its engagement with decision-makers or public audiences, alignment with the Foundation’s thematic priorities, incorporation of gender and intersectional approaches, and responsiveness to young people’s aspirations for the future of the Commonwealth.
