Applications open for FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund Program
من نحن
The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is inviting applications for its Cycle II (2026) cohort to support grassroots organizations dedicated to expanding quality education and sports opportunities for children in underserved communities worldwide. The fund aims to eliminate local learning barriers by reducing financial obstacles, improving infrastructure, fostering inclusive environments for female students and learners with diverse needs, and strengthening child safeguarding. Additionally, the program champions sports-for-learning initiatives, enhances community participation, and builds local capacity for sustainable, long-term impact. Applicants can seek either General Operating Support or Project/Program Support. For this cycle, approximately 30 organizations will receive one-time, non-renewable grants ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 USD to implement their proposed educational activities.

To be eligible for funding, applicants must be community-based grassroots organizations that directly implement their programs and serve between 500 and 10,000 individuals. Organizations must hold valid legal non-profit registration in the country where the grant will be utilized. Financially, the requested grant amount cannot exceed 50% of the organization’s annual budget for the grant year, and applicants should demonstrate financial stability, preferably through three years of audited or certified financial records. Commitment to compliance is required, including the submission of mid-term and final reports.
Adhering to a strict limit of one application per organization, applicants may submit proposals in their native language, though initial materials are provided in English. The evaluation process will assess proposals based on educational urgency, equity, socioeconomic vulnerability, geographic representation, and community-led participation. Reviewers will also prioritize implementation capacity, sustainability potential, and strategic alignment with Global Citizen’s educational vision. Shortlisted organizations that pass the initial screening may be invited to interview with fund officials as part of the final evaluation.
