من نحن

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting applications from qualified non-profit organizations to implement the Provision of Legal Aid and Civil Documentation Support for Iraqi Returnees from Al Hol (PLACDS) initiative in Kirkuk Governorate, Iraq. The program aims to improve access to justice and civil documentation for Iraqi returnees from Al Hol who face legal and administrative obstacles in obtaining, renewing, regularizing, or using essential civil documents. The intervention is expected to support approximately 200 referred returnees across the districts of Hawija, Kirkuk, and Daquk, with particular attention to vulnerable groups including women, women-headed households, children, youth, older persons, and persons with disabilities. Funded activities include legal awareness and outreach, case identification and triage, referral services, legal counselling, legal representation in complex cases, accompaniment to administrative and judicial institutions, and the documentation of recurring legal barriers and case trends to strengthen UNDP programming and coordination efforts. The project will be implemented over a seven-month period from 1 November 2026 to 31 May 2027. Beneficiary targeting should ensure that at least 40% of participants are women, 40% are youth aged 18–29, and 5% are persons with disabilities.
