The Connect & Create Programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe‑Institut and Expertise France in collaboration with the Institut français, supports African artists and artistic teams by expanding opportunities for live performances, music circulation, and cultural exchange between Africa and Europe. The programme fosters fair, inclusive, and sustainable cultural cooperation between Sub‑Saharan Africa and Europe by strengthening cultural ties through artistic collaboration, mobility of professionals and works, networking, and mutual learning. This call focuses on the dissemination and circulation of African performing arts and music productions, aiming to increase the visibility of African artists, facilitate their integration into international professional networks, expand access to new audiences, and contribute to the professionalisation of the performing arts and music sectors. Grants range from EUR 15,000 to EUR 39,500, with a total budget of EUR 445,000 available for selected projects.

معايير القبول

Eligible applicants include associations, non‑profit organisations, private companies, cultural institutions, foundations, and other professional cultural organisations legally registered for at least two years in one of the 47 eligible Sub‑Saharan African countries or one of the 27 EU Member States. Applicants must demonstrate significant experience in the performing arts and/or music sectors.
