The Corporate Accountability Initiative (CAI), co-financed by the European Union and implemented by the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA), TRIAL International, and regional partners, invites applications from Nigerian civil society and non-profit organizations. This sub-grant supports advocacy projects aimed at strengthening corporate accountability and promoting respect for human rights in Nigeria, with a particular focus on private security service providers and their role across value chains.

Projects must demonstrate a clear advocacy objective and seek to influence policies, laws, regulations, institutional practices, or corporate behavior to enhance accountability and safeguard human rights. Eligible initiatives may include policy engagement, awareness campaigns, stakeholder dialogue, and other advocacy activities that contribute to systemic change. One sub-grant of EUR 10,000 will be awarded for a project lasting four to six months. Applicants must show proven experience in advocacy, corporate accountability, or policy engagement, and have the capacity to manage project finances through a functional accounting system.

Applications are open to civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other non-profit entities legally registered and operational in Nigeria for at least three years. Eligible applicants must demonstrate prior experience in advocacy or corporate accountability work and the ability to manage funds transparently. Proposals should align with the initiative’s objectives and present a feasible plan for achieving measurable advocacy outcomes within the grant period.
