The World Food Programme (WFP) invites qualified partners to support evidence-based targeting and beneficiary identification for food security interventions in Al Jazirah State, Sudan. The initiative responds to Sudan’s ongoing food and nutrition crisis, where conflict, economic instability, and climate-related shocks have significantly increased food insecurity and malnutrition. Through this partnership, WFP aims to strengthen the accuracy, fairness, and accountability of assistance delivery by ensuring that limited resources reach the most vulnerable populations based on verified needs. Selected partners will collaborate with WFP on beneficiary identification, prioritization, and verification processes, support food security assessments, and promote transparent, conflict-sensitive, and participatory targeting approaches. Activities are expected to enhance community trust, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and improve responsiveness through effective feedback and engagement systems. The call focuses exclusively on Al Jazirah, Sudan. No grant amount or project duration has been specified in the announcement.

Eligible applicants must be organizations with demonstrated technical expertise in food security programming and beneficiary targeting methodologies, supported by strong project management and implementation capacity. Applicants should have an operational presence in the target area and a sound understanding of the local context in Al Jazirah, Sudan. Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate cost effectiveness, experience collaborating with United Nations agencies, particularly WFP, and the ability to deliver transparent and accountable interventions. Evaluation will also consider the applicant’s capacity to ensure meaningful community participation, maintain conflict-sensitive approaches, foster trust with affected populations, and implement responsive feedback and engagement mechanisms throughout project delivery.
