من نحن

The World Food Programme (WFP) Caribbean invites Jamaica‑based civil society and non‑governmental organisations to partner in delivering rapid in‑kind food distributions during national emergencies. Under its Multi‑Country Strategic Plan (2022–2026), WFP is leveraging its expertise and partnerships to strengthen Jamaica’s emergency preparedness and response capacities, building on lessons learned from recent hurricane responses. The programme aims to ensure crisis‑affected populations can meet their food, nutrition, and essential needs during and after emergencies, while improving access to food for disaster‑affected households and enhancing national coordination with humanitarian partners. Eligible activities include emergency in‑kind food distribution, community sensitisation and public information campaigns, as well as storage and food transformation (kitting) to safeguard livelihoods and preserve nutrition status.

معايير القبول

This call is open to Jamaica‑based civil society and non‑governmental organisations with proven capacity to implement rapid, large‑scale in‑kind food distributions in response to national shocks. Applicants must demonstrate operational presence, logistical capacity, and readiness to deliver emergency food assistance aligned with WFP’s expected results. Proposals will be assessed on organisational capacity, relevance to emergency response objectives, and ability to strengthen coordination with humanitarian partners.
