The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) invites proposals to integrate child rights and protection into urban governance across four Municipal Corporations in Madhya Pradesh—Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Bhopal—with an indicative total budget of 90,000 and a standard project duration. The program aims to build capable municipal workforces, establish accountable coordination mechanisms, and secure adequate, trackable financing aligned with gender-transformative City Action Plans for Children. Targeting vulnerable children, adolescents (especially girls), and women, the initiative spans geographic areas within these four municipal jurisdictions. Eligible activities encompass developing municipal action plans, establishing safe city models, enhancing referral and case management services, preventing violence against children, and expanding community-based prevention, family support, education, skills development, career guidance, mental health and psychosocial support, social protection, and child and adolescent participation platforms.

Applicants must be duly registered non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, or academic/research institutions with proven organizational capacity, relevant technical expertise in child protection and urban governance, and a demonstrated track record of implementing similar community-based social development programs in India, preferably within Madhya Pradesh. Proposals will be evaluated based on the clarity and feasibility of the implementation methodology across all three expected outputs, technical soundness, cost-effectiveness, institutional strength, and the applicant's demonstrated ability to deliver measurable, sustainable impacts for vulnerable children and adolescents.
