Elephant Conservation and Research Funding Support Program
من نحن
The International Elephant Foundation invites applications for its Elephant Conservation and Research Funding Support Program, designed to advance impactful initiatives that protect elephants and their habitats. The program supports projects addressing human‑elephant conflict prevention and mitigation, habitat conservation and management, conservation education and community outreach, transfrontier or transboundary elephant conservation, and elephant protection programs such as anti‑poaching patrols, infrastructure development, security, investigation and prosecution. Additional focus areas include reducing and preventing the ivory and bushmeat trade, as well as research into elephant diseases.
The Foundation typically funds 20–25 projects annually, with average grant awards of approximately USD 15,000 per year. Priority is given to annual or multi‑year projects that demonstrate strong community‑based impact, measurable conservation outcomes, and potential for future growth. Projects should be structured to allow evaluation within one to two years and must demonstrate clear, sustainable benefits for elephants, their habitats, and local communities.
