Pfizer is inviting applications for independent medical education projects designed to address persistent knowledge, skills, and confidence gaps among healthcare professionals in Homologous Recombination Repair mutation (HRRm) testing for metastatic prostate cancer. The program seeks to strengthen the practical application of guideline-based HRRm testing across the patient care pathway, with particular emphasis on pre-analytical processes, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the interpretation and communication of testing results. Funded initiatives should support healthcare professionals in making informed testing-related decisions and applying biomarker-informed treatment approaches in clinical practice. Priority educational activities include case-based learning, practical training resources, best-practice sharing, and educational interventions that bridge the gap between academic and community care settings. Projects may be implemented across one or multiple countries, with grants of up to USD 100,000 available for multi-country initiatives, while smaller projects requesting USD 30,000 to USD 50,000 are also encouraged. The total funding pool is approximately USD 300,000, and projects must be completed within a maximum period of 12 months. Eligible costs may include direct project expenses, indirect costs, and institutional overheads up to 28%.

Applications are open to organizations involved in healthcare professional education or healthcare improvement, including medical, dental, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy professional schools; healthcare institutions; professional associations and medical societies; medical education companies; and other nonprofit or for-profit entities with a relevant educational mission. Funding is available only to organizations and institutions; individuals and unaffiliated medical practice groups are not eligible to apply. Proposals will be assessed on their ability to deliver measurable improvements in learner knowledge, competence, confidence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the practical implementation of guideline-based HRRm testing pathways. Strong preference will be given to projects that demonstrate clear educational impact, incorporate practical and case-based learning approaches, and support the integration of HRRm testing into routine clinical practice.
